The 2nd Floor Commons
A Virtual Student Lounge
Brought to you by Brooklyn Friends Upper School Colleagues and Students
Welcome to our virtual student lounge! Students and colleagues can post reviews and recommendations of media they are consuming while cooped up, as well as exhibit their isolation-inspired journalism, art, poetry, prose, films, music, and other creative work. The 2nd Floor Commons is also home to our new Community Pods, a virtual cookbook, announcements and many more.
Well, we've finally found out what's on the 2nd floor. Come on up and join the fun. No need for an elevator pass!
Welcome Back!
We are so excited to welcome you back to the school year 20-21! This year will be unprecedented as our community and the world face the impacts of multiple pandemics from COVID-19 to racial injustice. We recognize the various emotions that you may be experiencing as we approach our school year. One thing we know for certain is that together as a community we will persevere through the challenges in front of us and allow our Quaker values of simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equality, and stewardship to guide us.

Emotional Wellbeing
On account of COVID-19 and the social distancing practices necessary for "flattening the curve," a lot of different feelings may be coming up right now. One option available to you for help navigating these uncertain times is meeting with Kamauru to discuss ways to process and manage your emotions. If you're interested in talking to Kamauru, you can reach out to him via this form.
